Prior to adopting or renewing any one-to-one digital device programming, the Board will consider all of the following when making programming decisions:
The instructional purpose of the device
The age appropriateness of the device and associated software
Content-filtering limitations and the district’s capacity to mitigate those limitations
Whether student data is collected, stored, or shared and the nature of such data practices
The Board delegates to the Superintendent or its designees the responsibility to bring forth a recommendation on the use of one-to-one instructional technology. The district maintains this checklist in its records and for the purpose of compliance with Iowa Department of Education audit requests.
