In providing the education program of the Wapello Community School District, the Board shall strive to meet its overall goal of providing the students an opportunity to develop a healthy social, intellectual, emotional, and physical self-concept in a learning environment that provides guidance to and encourages critical thinking in the students for a lifetime.
In striving to meet this overall goal, the objectives of the education program shall be to provide the students with an opportunity to:
- Develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Learn how to examine and use information.
- Learn to respect and get along with people where we work and live.
- Develop skills to enter a specific field of work.
- Learn how to be a good manager of money, property, and resources.
- Appreciate culture and beauty in the world.
- Develop pride in work and a feeling of self-worth.
- Develop good character and self-respect.
- Develop skills in mathematics and science.
- Learn about human growth and development.
- Demonstrate proper ethics and behaviors in the use of the computer hardware/software and other technological devices.
